On Saturday, 6 June, and Sunday, 7 June, journalists from around the world will share insights into their work and discuss life in their home countries.

The True Story Festival brings together a broad audience and dedicated journalists from around the world. It offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into in-depth reporting from a wide range of regions and to engage directly with the journalists behind the stories. Asking questions and joining the discussion are not only welcome but encouraged.

Secure your place at the True Story Festival from 5–7 June 2026 and discuss world affairs with journalists from around the globe.

The festival begins on Friday, 5 June 2026 at Kursaal Bern with the Community Afternoon, an event specifically designed for journalists. For the first time, the doors to the True Story Award ceremony will be open to the public. Experience the recognition of the best reporting and exchange ideas with the award recipients. Admission to all events is free (donations welcome). We recommend reserving a ticket in advance, as capacity is limited.

The True Story Festival 2026 takes place at various venues across Bern’s city centre. As all venues are within walking distance of one another, we recommend travelling by public transport.
